It wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I wanted to take my great-niece to the zoo, but it was the only one within a reazonable distance of Rochester.
As it turns out, it's a sweet little place, clean, not crowded and though it may not have all the animals a big-city zoo has, it had enough to keep smiles on our faces and entertain us for an hour or so.
Check out a few of our favorites. The zoo also has a black bear, but we couldn't get a good picture of him.
Oxbow Park is located west of Rochester off State Highway 14 toward Kasson.
